Teaching Philosophy

My primary goal in teaching is to provide a nurturing environment in which students can discover their potential and learn to overcome the challenges posed by the intricate nature of the instrument. I prioritize understanding each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles to tailor my lessons accordingly. I strive to provide a solid foundation and an advanced grasp of demanding techniques, while cultivating fulfillment and joy from the learning process. Striking this balance aids in building healthy practicing habits and provides room for the student to find their unique voice.

Having taught the violin/viola for many years, I have had the privilege of observing my students achieve successful results. Some of those accomplishments include All-region and All-state orchestra placements, local ensemble placements(GDYO, DAAYO), as well as top prizes at international competitions.
